Teacher joins remote-area school after students’ appeal; Zilla Parishad Education Department acts promptly
Mumbai, Sept 2026 : Deputy Chief Minister and Beed district Guardian Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar has taken immediate note of a social media video featuring young students of the Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Adarsh Zilla Parishad Primary School in Hivrapahadi, under the Jarud centre in Beed taluka, using a plastic water bottle as a makeshift microphone to highlight the shortage of teachers at their school.
The students had appealed, “We want to become officers, you just give us teachers.” Responding to their appeal, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the administration to take immediate action to address the issue.
Following the directions issued by the Deputy Chief Minister, the Beed Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer’s office and the Education Department moved into action. As per the directions from senior authorities, teacher Shivaji Jogdand has been appointed to the Hivrapahadi school.
Students’ Protest Draws Attention
The remote-area school in Hivrapahadi had reportedly been without teachers for important subjects such as Mathematics, Science and Computer Studies for the past few days.
Seeking a solution to the problem, the young students made a plastic drinking-water bottle into a makeshift microphone and presented a mock news report from their classroom. Through the presentation, they highlighted the difficulties caused by the shortage of teachers.
The emotional video was subsequently widely shared on social media. Taking serious note of the video, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar directed the Beed district administration to take immediate steps to resolve the issue.
Teacher Joins School Following Administrative Action
Following direct instructions from the senior level, the Zilla Parishad administration acted promptly and issued an order appointing teacher Shivaji Jogdand to the Hivrapahadi school.
In accordance with the order, Jogdand has now joined the school, providing the students with a teacher following their appeal for improved educational facilities.
