Financial Aid to Women, Farmers and the Poor Strengthens Society: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that economically empowering women is the government’s responsibility. Women engaged in tendu leaf collection in Shahdol are being provided financial assistance through bonuses. Farmers are also being empowered economically. Even small amounts of financial assistance extended to women, farmers and the poor play an important role in strengthening society. The state government has provided ₹65,000 crore to women beneficiaries so far. He said that Madhya Pradesh is the only state government in the country that, alongside empowering farmers, is also encouraging livestock owners and milk producers. The state government has initiated free registration of houses built on government land in rural areas. This will enable rural residents to obtain bank loans against their houses. The Swamitva Yojana has generated enthusiasm and hope among rural communities. People will now be able to take loans against their houses to expand their businesses or undertake other economic activities, further strengthening the economy.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed these views while addressing ‘Sushasan Samvad 3.0’, organised by a media group in Bhopal. He inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed the Ladli Behna Yojana, the financial balance between public welfare and development, preparations to establish Simhastha 2028 as a global spiritual event and inter-state relations during programme.

Sandipani Schools Set New Benchmarks in Education

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government has improved the quality of education through Sandipani Schools. There was a time when even basic facilities, such as mats for students to sit on, were unavailable in schools. Today, Sandipani Schools are emerging as model institutions, equipped with modern facilities, multi-storey buildings and better educational resources. The state government aims to provide quality education through these schools while enabling students to imbibe Indian culture, the Guru-Shishya tradition and the values of patriotism. He said it was a matter of pride that Madhya Pradesh now has the country’s best education system.

Acharya Sandipani Embodied Knowledge, Values and Patriotism

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Acharya Sandipani is associated with the enduring friendship between Lord Shri Krishna and Sudama. The schools have been named after Acharya Sandipani with the objective of keeping friendship, values and the Guru-Shishya tradition alive among students. He said that Acharya Sandipani symbolised education, knowledge and patriotism. His life teaches us that education is not merely a means of acquiring knowledge, but also the foundation of values, dedication to duty and nation-building.

Ken-Betwa Link Project to Benefit Entire Bundelkhand

Speaking about inter-state relations, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi envisions healthy and constructive competition among states. To promote the development of the entire Bundelkhand region, the state government has formulated a ₹1 lakh crore plan for the Ken-Betwa Link Project in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh government. The project will benefit the entire Bundelkhand region.

Preparations Underway for Simhastha 2028

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that comprehensive arrangements are being made to facilitate the movement of pilgrims during Simhastha 2028. While Ujjain has a population of around eight to ten lakh, approximately 40 crore devotees are expected to visit the city during Simhastha. Accordingly, arrangements are being planned for access routes, ghats, bathing facilities and darshan.

All arrangements are being developed in line with the prevailing social context and the needs of devotees. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Ujjain’s infrastructure has improved significantly. The number of pilgrims visiting the city has increased following the development of Mahakal Mahalok. Around seven crore people visited Ujjain last year, transforming the economy of the entire region. In keeping with this growth, infrastructure and facilities are also being developed on a permanent basis.

‘Sushasan Samvad’ Focuses on National and Social Issues

At the beginning of the programme, Panchjanya Editor Shri Hitesh Shankar said that concern for the nation has been the foundation of journalism in India since its inception. As a result, many freedom fighters were associated with journalism. He noted that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna awardee, the late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, were associated with the creation of publications such as Panchjanya and Organiser. It was a matter of pride that both had connections with Madhya Pradesh. Shri Shankar said that the programme focused on issues concerning the nation and society. During the discussion on good governance and administration, Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar remained a guiding presence in the thoughts and consciousness of all.
