Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for highlighting the decision of Shivani’s family from Narmadapuram district to donate her organs during the 139th episode of the popular radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav listened to the programme at the Chief Minister’s Residence on Sunday.
During the programme, Prime Minister Shri Modi spoke about research and innovation in the country’s medical sector and emphasised the significant role of organ donation in advanced research. He said, “Organ donation plays a very important role in advanced research. Those who donate their organs after death save lives and contribute to medical research. One such example is Shivani from Narmadapuram in Madhya Pradesh. When Shivani became a victim of a road accident, her family, even in this difficult time, took a decision that serves as an inspiration to us all. The decision was to donate the organs of Shivani, who had suffered a road accident. The decision taken by Shivani’s family has conveyed a powerful message to society and the nation. Such an act of humanity can bring happiness back into another family’s life while also providing significant support to research.”
