CM Yogi Adityanath hands appointment letters to 1,375 Gram Panchayat officers; 11 selected candidates receive letters on stage
Lucknow, Sept 2026 : For several young people, receiving a government job appointment letter brought not only happiness but also a sense of relief. While some saw the appointment as an opportunity to improve their family’s financial condition, others said it eased their worries about their children’s future. Some candidates became emotional while sharing their struggles, with their voices choking as they spoke.
The occasion was the appointment letter distribution ceremony for newly selected Gram Panchayat officers held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Monday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed over appointment letters to 1,375 candidates selected through the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission.
The Chief Minister symbolically presented appointment letters on stage to 11 newly selected candidates. After receiving the letters, the candidates shared their personal journeys, struggles and family circumstances. They also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, describing the recruitment process as fair and transparent.
First Woman in Her In-Laws’ Family to Join Government Service
Lucknow resident Shruti Srivastava said she was the first woman in her in-laws’ family to enter government service. She said that during her pregnancy, she had often been worried about her future. Receiving the appointment letter, she said, had brought renewed hope and confidence.
Shruti also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for what she described as a fair recruitment process.
Aditya Singh of Kushinagar comes from a farming family. He said his selection for government service had given him an opportunity to serve the people of Uttar Pradesh. He described the recruitment process as completely transparent and fair.
Beauty Shahi from Gorakhpur said her family’s financial condition was not very strong. She said getting a government job would allow her not only to serve the public but also help improve her family’s circumstances. She expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister while sharing her experience.
11 Candidates Receive Letters from CM
The 11 candidates who received appointment letters from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on stage were Ashutosh Tripathi from Prayagraj, Om Baghel from Agra, Praveen Kumar from Ghazipur, Sudha from Pratapgarh, Aditya Singh from Kushinagar, Neha Devi from Hamirpur, Rupali Gupta from Fatehpur, Shruti Srivastava from Lucknow, Beauty Shahi from Gorakhpur, Shubham Kumar from Ghazipur and Amit Kumar Singh from Pratapgarh.
6,672 Youth Receive Appointment Letters in 10 Days
The programme was the fourth major appointment letter distribution ceremony held under the state government’s Mission Employment initiative in the past 10 days.
On September 19, appointment letters were distributed at Lok Bhawan to 818 candidates selected through the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission. They included recruits for the Medical and Health Services, AYUSH, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Vocational Education and Skill Development departments.
On September 20, appointment letters were handed over to 912 candidates selected through the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. They included candidates appointed as Police Sub-Inspectors (Confidential), Assistant Sub-Inspectors (Clerical) and Assistant Sub-Inspectors (Accounts).
3,567 Teachers and Principals Appointed
On September 22, appointment letters were distributed to 3,567 teachers and principals selected through the Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission. The recruits included 1,090 women and 2,477 men selected for positions including principals, headmasters, lecturers and assistant teachers.
With Monday’s distribution of appointment letters to 1,375 Gram Panchayat officers, a total of 6,672 young people have received government job appointment letters through four major programmes held between September 19 and September 28.
