Mumbai, Oct 2026 : The Mumbai City Collectorate organised a cycling rally as part of the Seva Sankalp Campaign, spreading messages of public service, healthy living, environmental conservation and social responsibility.
The rally was organised under the directions of Mumbai City Collector Anchal Goyal, with guidance from Additional Collector Bappasaheb Thorat and planning by Resident Deputy Collector Dr Shivnanda Langdapure.
Held as part of the Seva Sankalp Campaign being conducted from September 17 to October 17, 2026, the cycling rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and employees of the Collectorate. Through the initiative, participants conveyed the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, protecting the environment and contributing actively to society.
The rally was flagged off by Resident Deputy Collector Dr Shivnanda Langdapure from the premises of the Collectorate. The cyclists then proceeded from the Collectorate towards the Gateway of India and continued to NCPA at Marine Drive, where the rally concluded amid enthusiasm.
Dr Shivnanda Langdapure, Tehsildar Dr Mansi Marlewar, My Bharat Deputy Director Anup Ingawale and Naib Tehsildar Prabhakar Naik were among those who participated in the rally along with other officers and employees of the Collectorate.
The Seva Sankalp Campaign is aimed at making government services more effective and accessible to citizens while also encouraging greater participation of government officials and employees in social initiatives.
The cycling rally formed part of these broader efforts to promote public welfare beyond routine administrative responsibilities. The participation of officials and employees highlighted the campaign’s emphasis on combining efficient public service with health, environmental awareness and social engagement.
Through such activities, the Mumbai City Collectorate is seeking to reinforce the spirit of public service while encouraging its workforce to adopt healthier practices and participate actively in initiatives benefiting the wider community.
