Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse Praises Progress of Zilla Parishad Schools in Alibag Under ‘Chala Shalet Jau Ya’ Initiative

Raigad-Alibag, October 2026 : Maharashtra School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse visited several Zilla Parishad schools in Alibag taluka under the state-wide innovative initiative ‘Chala Shalet Jau Ya’ (Let Us Go to School) and reviewed their educational environment and progress.

Praising the schools for their achievements, Bhuse said he felt privileged to witness their progress in education, cultural activities and academic excellence, as well as the talent and abilities of their students.

To encourage a greater interest in education and motivate students, the minister visited Zilla Parishad School Mushet, Kihim Adivasi Wadi School, Raigad Zilla Parishad Upper Primary School at Zirad, Babasaheb Nazare High School at Awas and Zilla Parishad School at Navgaon.

The minister’s visit was attended by Guardian Minister Bharatsheth Gogawale, MLA Mahendra Dalvi, Zilla Parishad President Mangesh Wakadikar, Education Committee Chairperson Chandrakant Kalambe, Women and Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Rasika Keni, and Chief Executive Officer Neha Bhosale.

Students welcomed the minister enthusiastically with performances by traditional Lezim dancers and Dhol troupes, creating a festive atmosphere during the school visits.

Moving beyond a formal inspection, Bhuse entered classrooms and interacted directly with students in a friendly manner. He listened to children reading aloud and reviewed their academic progress. On the occasion, he also presented inspirational books to students, recognising and encouraging their efforts.

At the Zilla Parishad school in Zirad, the minister visited the science laboratory and sought detailed explanations from students about the experiments they had conducted. He also carefully examined an exhibition showcasing students’ artwork and work-experience projects.

Bhuse appreciated the creativity, skills and innovative thinking demonstrated by the young science enthusiasts. The exhibits reflected the students’ efforts to apply their learning through practical activities and creative projects.

The dignitaries expressed satisfaction with the innovative initiatives being implemented in Zilla Parishad schools, the emphasis on improving educational standards and the efforts being made to ensure students’ overall development.

The visits highlighted the importance of creating an engaging learning environment that encourages academic achievement, creativity, cultural participation and practical knowledge among children.

The minister’s interaction with students and teachers generated considerable enthusiasm among the school communities in Alibag. Teachers, students and parents welcomed the visit, which provided an opportunity to showcase the schools’ achievements and educational initiatives under the state’s ‘Chala Shalet Jau Ya’ programme.
