Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Dussehra Maidan in the Govindpura-BHEL area on Thursday evening to review preparations for the launch of the Chief Minister Sugam Parivahan Seva on Friday. The launch programme, marking the beginning of direct bus connectivity between cities and villages across the state, will be organised on a grand scale. Preparations for the event are complete.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari will flag off the buses to formally launch the service. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was briefed on the features of the new buses and inspected the modern technology and passenger facilities by boarding the buses. Transport Secretary Shri Manish Singh briefed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on arrangements and other details of the programme.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also reviewed the arrangements at the stage and venue, along with other facilities for the state-level programme. Bhopal Municipal Corporation Commissioner Smt. Sanskriti Jain and officials of the concerned departments were present.
351 Buses in Seven Cities to be Flagged Off
A total of 351 intercity and intracity buses in seven cities will be flagged off at the launch of the Chief Minister Sugam Parivahan Seva. The cities include Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Rewa, Dewas, Katni and Bhind.
In the initial phase, 145 buses will operate in Indore, including 50 intercity and 95 intracity buses; 106 buses in Bhopal, including 23 intercity and 83 intracity buses; and 67 buses in Jabalpur, including 14 intercity and 53 intracity buses. In addition, 18 intercity buses will be flagged off in Rewa, 10 in Dewas, three in Katni and two in Bhind.
