Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath to inaugurate fourth edition; ‘One District, One Cuisine’ to receive special focus

Greater Noida, September 2026 : In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of taking “local to global”, the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 is set to provide a major platform for connecting the state’s local products, entrepreneurs and manufacturers with markets across India and the world.

The fourth edition of UPITS will be held from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. This year’s event will feature wider international participation, greater sectoral diversity and expanded business-connect opportunities.

The event is expected to bring together more than 2,400 exhibitors, over 1.5 lakh B2B buyers and visitors, more than 4.5 lakh general visitors and over 550 international buyers from 85 countries.

Amit Shah and CM Yogi to inaugurate event

State MSME Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary said on Thursday that the MSME sector is the backbone of Uttar Pradesh’s economy, with more than 96 lakh MSME units operating in the state.

He said the government is developing an ecosystem that enables enterprises to expand, innovate and compete in global markets. UPITS will not only enhance market access for local enterprises but also create new opportunities for investment, business expansion and employment.

The minister said Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate UPITS 2026.

Wider international participation

The international character of UPITS will be further expanded this year. Six partner countries — Austria, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Belarus and Vietnam — will participate in the fourth edition.

Their participation is expected to create opportunities for business partnerships, technological cooperation, sourcing, investment and access to new markets. The event will bring international buyers, domestic B2B buyers and domestic B2C visitors together on a common platform.

Buyers registered from more than 72 countries

International participation has already gathered momentum, with registrations received from buyers from 72 countries.

Through the Federation of Indian Export Organisations’ (FIEO) Hosted Buyer Programme, genuine buyers, importers, distributors, retailers, sourcing agents, procurement heads, trade associations and business enterprises are being connected with the event.

B2B matchmaking, networking and business sessions will provide exhibitors and buyers with opportunities for direct business interaction.

Diverse sectors to be showcased

UPITS 2026 will showcase the industrial, agricultural, handicraft and services-sector diversity of Uttar Pradesh.

The sectors represented will include agriculture and allied activities; automobiles, EVs and auto components; aviation; defence; electronics and e-commerce; IT and smart-city solutions; film and entertainment; fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy; food processing and FMCG; horticulture; handloom, handicrafts and textiles; healthcare, wellness, AYUSH, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment; infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing and real estate; leather; tourism and hospitality; sports; toys; renewable energy; power; mining; logistics and warehousing; retail; financial services; education and skilling; packaging and printing; and water, sanitation and wastewater management.

Government schemes and policies to be showcased

The exhibition will also highlight government schemes and policies related to MSME development, entrepreneurship and skill development, cluster development, digital transformation, international cooperation, procurement and marketing assistance, employment generation, and rural and urban development.

Uttar Pradesh’s sector-specific policies relating to industrial investment, exports, textiles and garmenting will also be showcased.

Special focus on culture and cuisine

UPITS 2026 will give special prominence to the cultural and culinary identity of Uttar Pradesh. Alongside the ‘One District, One Product’ (ODOP) initiative, this year’s edition will introduce a special focus on ‘One District, One Cuisine’ (ODOC).

The initiative will showcase traditional culinary practices, local dishes and food heritage from different districts of the state to audiences in India and abroad.

Platform for industry dialogue and collaboration

The five-day event will feature business engagements, knowledge sessions, cultural programmes, live performances, awards, fashion shows and laser shows.

Knowledge sessions will focus on artificial intelligence, electronics manufacturing, digital trade, food processing, MSMEs, global free trade agreements and other emerging sectors.

The programme will provide industry stakeholders with opportunities for knowledge exchange, dialogue and collaboration.

UPITS will therefore bring together business and investment with Uttar Pradesh’s culture, cuisine, innovation and entrepreneurship on a global platform. The event will seek to connect the state’s manufacturing capabilities, MSME ecosystem, ODOP and ODOC products, handicrafts, textiles, agriculture, food products, tourism, innovation and emerging industries with buyers, investors and the global business community.

Fourth edition to expand scale and global reach

UPITS 2026 builds on the success of the previous three editions. The 2025 edition, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recorded a total footfall of 5,07,099 visitors, including 1,40,735 B2B visitors.

More than 2,228 exhibitors participated across an exhibition area of over 35,000 square metres. The participation of more than 550 foreign buyers from 85 countries through FIEO further strengthened the event’s international character.

The 2025 edition recorded more than 2,400 MoUs worth ₹1,882 crore and business enquiries exceeding ₹11,200 crore. Building on these achievements, the fourth edition is being expanded in terms of both scale and international outreach.

Enhanced digital facilities

Digital facilities have also been strengthened for UPITS 2026. Through the UPITS app, buyers and exhibitors will be able to identify business opportunities and schedule B2B meetings in advance.

Digital matchmaking will enable participants to plan their business meetings more effectively during the event.

Platforms such as UPITS are playing an important role in advancing Uttar Pradesh’s economy towards the state’s target of becoming a trillion-dollar economy. The fourth edition will bring trade, investment, innovation, manufacturing, exports, culture and consumer engagement together, while seeking to connect enterprises from Uttar Pradesh with major markets in India and abroad.

Principal Secretary, MSME Department, Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil, IAS; the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar; and India Exposition Mart Ltd Chairman Dr Rakesh Kumar, along with senior officials of the Uttar Pradesh government and district administration, were present on the occasion.
