Greater Noida, Sep 28: The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2026 witnessed a vibrant celebration of art and culture on Sunday, as more than 300 students from over 28 schools showcased their talent across dance, music, painting and handicrafts.
Amid the business activities and global opportunities offered by the trade show, students from Generations Z and Alpha were seen connecting with their cultural roots through an inter-school art and culture competition.
The competition was organised by Jaypee Public School, Greater Noida, in association with the co-nodal school, Grads International School, Greater Noida. Students from Classes 6 to 8 and Classes 9 to 12 participated in three categories — Performing Arts, Visual Arts, and “Hands of Heritage” Art and Craft.
Culture Reflected Through Music and Dance
In the Performing Arts category for Classes 6 to 8, Toshita of Aster Public School, Greater Noida, secured first position, followed by Arshia Mahajan of Shri Ram Millennium School, Noida, in second place. The group song team of Grads International School, Greater Noida, secured third position.
In the Classes 9 to 12 category, Yuvika and Charvi of Bethany Convent School jointly secured first position. Sanskriti Pathak of Bethany Convent School and Arpita of Grads International School, Greater Noida, secured second position, while Sanchi of Jaypee Public School, Greater Noida, stood third.
Heritage Comes Alive on Canvas
The Visual Arts category provided students an opportunity to express their understanding of Indian culture and heritage through paintings.
Among Classes 6 to 8 students, Varnika Tyagi of Sparsh International School secured first position, Anshi Maurya of Greater Noida World School stood second and Kritika Singh of Jaypee Public School, Greater Noida, secured third place.
In the Classes 9 to 12 category, Anshika Sharma of Sparsh International School won first position, followed by Tanya Chauhan of Grads International School in second place. Charvi Baghel of Ryan International School secured third position.
Traditional Craft Takes Centre Stage
The “Hands of Heritage” category focused on traditional art and craft, allowing students to showcase their creativity through hands-on work.
Among Classes 6 to 8 participants, Saanvi Singh of Sparsh International School, Greater Noida, secured first position. Lovish Bhati of Greater Noida World School stood second, while Shraddha of Jaypee Public School, Greater Noida, secured third position.
In the Classes 9 to 12 category, Navdeep Tomar and Anika of Jaypee Public School, Greater Noida, jointly secured first position. Sarthak of Greater Noida World School stood second, while Saanvi Singh of Sparsh International School secured third position.
Sanchi, Kritika Singh and Shraddha of Jaypee Public School, Greater Noida, secured third positions in their respective categories, while Navdeep Tomar and Anika emerged winners in the “Hands of Heritage” category for senior students.
School Leadership Oversees Event
The event was organised under the guidance of Meeta Bhandula, Principal of Jaypee Public School, Greater Noida, and Aditi Basu, Principal of Grads International School, Greater Noida.
The competition was coordinated by Ritu Bhatnagar, Headmistress of Jaypee Public School, and Sushila of Grads International School.
The jury comprised Dr Binita, Principal of P.T. D.U. Model Inter College; Dr Rajni Pilani, Principal of Government High School; R.P. Paul, Art Specialist at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Delhi; and Geetanjali of DJIC, Hoshiarpur.
The judges appreciated the students for their originality, creativity, presentation skills and understanding of India’s cultural heritage. The competition provided a platform for young participants to explore traditional art forms while expressing them through contemporary creative approaches.
