Participation from every community is vital for a 'Developed Rajasthan'

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma addresses the Kaimkhani community, who expressed gratitude for the state's public welfare schemes

Jaipur, November 2026 : Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma stated that the innovative thinking of youth, the experience of senior citizens, and the active participation of Matru Shakti can pave a new path towards development. Emphasising the importance of girl child education, he noted that when daughters are educated and empowered, the foundations of the family, society, and nation are strengthened. He added that enlightened members of society can play an important role in eradicating social evils, raising educational awareness, and ensuring that government welfare schemes reach needy families.

The Chief Minister made these remarks while interacting with representatives of the Kaimkhani community on Sunday. He stated that in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’, the Double-Engine Government is working with total commitment to build Viksit Bharat and Viksit Rajasthan. The primary objective of the government is to extend the benefits of various schemes—including education, health, employment, skill development, and social security—to every section of society.

Education: The Foundation of Social Progress
The Chief Minister highlighted that education and social consciousness are the true foundations of progress. To support this, the state government has increased the monthly mess allowance for students living in hostels and residential schools from ₹2,500 to ₹3,250. Additionally, scholarships worth ₹17.16 crore have been distributed to more than 26,000 underprivileged students under various schemes. Similarly, free coaching facilities have been provided to 4,786 candidates under the Chief Minister Anuprati Coaching Scheme, while development projects worth approximately ₹100 crore have been executed under the Prime Minister Jan Vikas Programme.

Atal Gyan Kendras in Every Village to Fuel Youth Dreams
The Chief Minister announced that Atal Gyan Kendras are being realised in rural areas to benefit local youth. These centres are equipped with traditional libraries, e-libraries, e-Mitra kiosks, and online services to help students prepare for competitive examinations. Providing these essential study facilities directly within villages will help curb the migration of youth to cities. Appealing to young candidates, the Chief Minister assured them that the state government is conducting recruitment examinations with absolute transparency. He urged them to study with dedication, emphasising that the Double-Engine Government stands firmly by them to help realise their dreams.

Historic Water Agreements Being Implemented
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, the state government has taken historic initiatives to ensure water security across Rajasthan. Water-related projects worth over ₹2 lakh crore have been initiated. Decades-old pending projects, including the Ramjal Setu Link Project, the Yamuna Water Project, and the Kishau Agreement, are finally being implemented on the ground. This will secure water for drinking, irrigation, and industrial development, thereby boosting the state's economy.

Shekhawati Region to Connect via Three Greenfield Expressways
The Chief Minister stated that the government is continuously working to conserve the historic havelis of Shekhawati, which represent the state's rich cultural heritage and architectural excellence. Linking these havelis to tourism will create sustainable employment opportunities for local residents. Furthermore, out of the nine Greenfield Expressways being built in the state, three will connect to the Shekhawati region. Efforts are also underway to enhance air connectivity to this area.

Honouring and Supporting National Servicemen
The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to the honour and welfare of ex-servicemen and Veeranganas. The monthly financial assistance for non-pensioner veterans of World War II has been increased from ₹10,000 to ₹15,000, benefiting 891 families across the state. In addition, government jobs have been provided to more than 450 dependents, and over 1,000 bighas of agricultural land and housing flats have been allocated to war widows.

He also noted a consecutive 10% annual increase over the past two years in the honourarium of contractually employed ex-servicemen. Soldier welfare offices have been opened in newly formed districts, and a dedicated website has been launched for the swift resolution of grievances faced by military families. Additionally, pension-related issues were successfully realised and resolved by organising more than 400 specialised camps at the district level.

Over 410 Leak-Free Examinations Conducted
The Double-Engine Government is operating with a spirit of dedication towards the well-being of every demographic, including farmers, the underprivileged, women, and youth. To ensure total transparency in public recruitment, more than 410 examinations have been conducted without a single paper leak. This has resulted in appointments to over 1.93 lakh government posts, with recruitment processes for an additional 1.18 lakh posts currently underway. Meanwhile, skill training has been imparted to 3.70 lakh youth.

To promote female education, the government has distributed 13.85 lakh bicycles and 46,000 scooties to female students. Transparency has been further enhanced by transferring the funds for scooties and school uniforms directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

Honouring the Annadata: Subsidy for Advanced Farming
In honour of the Annadata, Prime Minister Narendra Modiji is providing ₹6,000 annually under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, which the state government tops up with an additional ₹3,000. As a result, the farmers of the state are now getting an annual ₹9,000 of Samman Nidhi. Under this initiative, an amount of more than ₹15,735 crore has been transferred to over 76 lakh farmers. Financial subsidies are also being provided to farmers in facilities like fencing, diggi construction, the PM-KUSUM solar scheme, and greenhouses. By establishing processing units at the local level, employment opportunities are being created for youth in the villages itself. The government's effort is that the farmer's income increases and agriculture is empowered with modern technology and resources.

Firm Commitment to Women's Empowerment
The state government remains deeply committed to the empowerment of women and girls. The monthly social security pension has been increased to ₹1,450. To ensure healthcare accessibility, 5.74 lakh free sonography coupons have been realised and issued to pregnant women under the Maa Voucher Scheme. Under the Lado Protsahan Scheme, a savings bond of ₹1.5 lakh is provided upon the birth of a girl child in impoverished families. Furthermore, 20 lakh women in the state have successfully been elevated to Lakhpati Didis.

During the dialogue, members of the Kaimkhani community and organisational representatives from across Rajasthan expressed their sincere gratitude to the Chief Minister for these public welfare initiatives.
