On this significant occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami sought the blessings of Maa Ganga and prayed for the nation’s progress, public welfare and the fulfilment of the resolve to build a developed India.

Before the state Cabinet meeting in Haridwar, Dhami joined Cabinet ministers for the Ganga Puja and Aarti. The meeting is being held at the Mela Control Building, situated on the banks of the Ganga in Haridwar.

Holding a Cabinet meeting on the banks of the Ganga in the holy city of Haridwar is an important step in advancing the state government’s initiative to organise Cabinet meetings in different districts of Uttarakhand.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government has been holding Cabinet meetings in various districts to bring governance closer to different regions and give priority to local development and matters concerning public interest.

Earlier, a Cabinet meeting was held at Banbasa in Champawat district, during which several important decisions concerning the interests of the state were taken.

By organising Cabinet meetings across different districts, the government aims to give greater priority at the administrative level to regional requirements and local development issues, while accelerating decision-making on matters related to public welfare.
