Jaipur, October 2026: Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani on Monday launched several road construction, renewal and retaining wall projects in Ward No. 6 of Kajipura and Ward No. 7 of Boraj, under the Ajmer North Assembly constituency. The projects, being implemented by the Public Works Department (PWD), will cost a total of ₹1.29 crore.
Once completed, the works are expected to improve connectivity and provide safer and more convenient travel for villagers, residents of nearby colonies and commuters using these roads.
At a programme held at Teja Chowk in Kajipura, Devnani launched road construction work costing ₹38.48 lakh in Ward No. 6. The project includes a road from Tejaji Temple to the residence of Ratan Panchu Ji, along with road construction and a retaining wall on the Bhairav Temple Road.

Focus on quality and timely completion
Speaking on the occasion, Devnani said the construction and renewal of these roads would ensure smoother and safer travel for local residents as well as people from neighbouring rural areas.
He directed the concerned officials to complete all projects within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining high construction standards, so that residents could benefit from the improved infrastructure at the earliest.
Devnani said roads were the lifeline of any region, as better connectivity not only facilitates transportation but also improves access to markets, educational institutions and healthcare services.
He added that development works were being undertaken according to local requirements in every ward and neighbourhood to ensure the city's comprehensive and balanced development. His aim, he said, was to provide residents with better roads, sanitation, drinking water and other essential facilities.
Rural infrastructure a government priority
The Assembly Speaker said the development of basic infrastructure in rural areas remained a priority for the state government. Road construction and other development projects worth more than ₹100 crore had already been undertaken in the region, he added.
A girls' Sainik School is being constructed in Hathikhera at a cost of ₹20 crore. In addition, several projects worth crores of rupees are being implemented to beautify and rejuvenate Varun Sagar Lake and Chaurasiyawas Pond.
He also noted that the embankment of Boraj Pond had been reconstructed, keeping public safety and local requirements in mind.
