Bhopal/Barwani, Oct 2026 : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav practised yoga with members of the Gayatri Parivar at Gayatri Dham in Jamli village, Sendhwa, in Barwani district on Monday morning.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of yoga, spiritual awareness, positive thinking and a healthy lifestyle. He urged people to cultivate goodwill, eliminate negative thoughts and remain committed to performing good deeds.
Keep the Lamp of Good Deeds Burning, Says CM
Referring to the festival of Diwali, Dr Yadav said the celebrations had, in a true sense, begun with the occasion.
“The lamp that the Almighty has lit in our hearts should remain a source of energy throughout our lives. As long as our bodies allow us, we should continue to perform good deeds, maintain goodwill in our hearts and eliminate negative thoughts,” he said.
The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to everyone and encouraged people to follow the path of positivity, compassion and righteous conduct.
Make the Best Use of Life
Dr Yadav said that human birth and the journey of life unfold within a period determined by divine grace. The life bestowed upon people through the blessings of Mahakal, Lord Krishna and Maa Gayatri should be used to its fullest potential, he said.
He urged every individual to make the best use of their time, undertake constructive activities and move forward with a positive outlook.
The Chief Minister emphasised that people should recognise the value of their lives and use their abilities and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to society.
Spiritual Significance of the Soul’s Journey
Highlighting the spiritual dimensions of Indian philosophy, Dr Yadav referred to the well-known Vedic expression, “Yat Pinde Tat Brahmande,” which conveys that the principles present within the human body are also reflected in the larger universe.
He said nature, vegetation, the five fundamental elements and the life force hold special significance in human existence. The concept of the five great elements — earth, water, fire, air and space — helps explain the structure of creation and the relationship between human life and the natural world.
The Chief Minister also underlined the spiritual significance of the soul’s journey beyond the physical body.
He said that, with the grace of the Almighty, everyone should identify a meaningful purpose in life and work towards achieving it.
Dr Yadav encouraged people to embrace spiritual awareness, goodwill and good deeds in their daily lives and contribute to the welfare of society and the nation.
The programme at Gayatri Dham highlighted the role of yoga and spiritual practices in promoting physical well-being, mental positivity and a sense of social responsibility.
