CM directs officials to assist distressed people with sensitivity and compassion
Assures complainants that resolving their grievances is the government’s top priority
Orders strict legal action against illegal land encroachment and those dispossessing vulnerable people
Lucknow, October 2026: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath heard public grievances during the Janta Darshan programme on Monday morning and issued necessary instructions to officials for their prompt resolution.
The Chief Minister said the government was committed to public service in the spirit of “Nara Seva, Narayana Seva” — serving humanity as a form of service to God.
He directed officials to address people's problems effectively and work towards fulfilling the government's commitment to public welfare and improving citizens' quality of life. He stressed that every distressed person must be treated with sensitivity and that grievances should be resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Chief Minister Personally Hears Public Grievances
During the Janta Darshan programme, Yogi Adityanath personally approached people seated in chairs and listened to their concerns individually.
After hearing their grievances, he forwarded their applications to the concerned officials and instructed them to ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution.
The Chief Minister assured the complainants that the government was committed to resolving their problems and that addressing the concerns of distressed citizens remained a top priority.
He emphasised that officials must approach every complaint with compassion and take appropriate action rather than allowing grievances to remain unresolved.
Strict Action Against Illegal Land Encroachment
The Chief Minister directed officials to take stringent legal action against those involved in illegal land occupation and those who forcibly dispossess vulnerable people of their property.
He made it clear that individuals who exploit weaker sections of society or deprive them of their rightful land must not be spared.
However, in cases involving family disputes over land and property, officials were asked to bring the concerned parties together and attempt to resolve the matter through dialogue and mutual understanding.
Yogi Adityanath also instructed officials to handle revenue and police-related complaints with complete transparency and impartiality.
He stressed that no individual should face injustice and that officials must ensure fair treatment for everyone approaching the administration with a grievance.
The Chief Minister further directed authorities to identify people who had been deprived of the benefits of government welfare schemes for various reasons and take steps to ensure that eligible beneficiaries received the assistance due to them.
Child's Smile Brings a Warm Moment at Janta Darshan
A heartwarming moment unfolded during the programme when the Chief Minister interacted affectionately with a young child who had accompanied his mother.
As Yogi Adityanath spoke to the child warmly, the little one began to smile. The Chief Minister then offered him a chocolate, which the delighted child immediately accepted with a cheerful laugh.
The affectionate exchange between the Chief Minister and the child brought smiles to the faces of people present at the venue.
The Janta Darshan programme is intended to provide citizens with an opportunity to bring their grievances directly to the Chief Minister's attention and seek intervention from the administration.
Through the programme, the Chief Minister reiterated the importance of compassionate governance, transparent administration and timely grievance redressal, with particular emphasis on protecting vulnerable citizens and ensuring access to government welfare schemes.
