Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer ₹502 crore in fee reimbursement for the 2024–25 academic session under the Right to Education (RTE) Act through a single-click at a programme in Narsinghpur district on October 11. The amount will be credited to the accounts of 20,456 private schools across the State, supporting free education for more than 8.19 lakh students. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will also inaugurate the newly constructed Government Sandipani Excellence School building in Narsinghpur, built at a cost of over ₹45 crore and equipped with modern educational facilities. School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh, local public representatives, distinguished guests, students and parents will attend the programme.
The state’s Sandipani schools are an important initiative to provide a better learning environment and modern facilities to students. The state government is emphasising effective implementation of the RTE Act to ensure access to quality education for children from economically weaker and disadvantaged sections. Fee reimbursement to private schools helps ensure free education for eligible students.
₹3,600 Crore Released in RTE Fee Reimbursement So Far
To ensure that no child is deprived of education, the state government provides free admission to students from economically weaker and disadvantaged sections in Classes 1 to 8 in private schools under the RTE Act. The government reimburses the fees directly to the respective schools. Since 2011, more than ₹3,600 crore has been released towards fee reimbursement for over 16.85 lakh students under the scheme, helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds access quality education.
Modern Facilities to Support Holistic Student Development
Under the Sandipani School Scheme, the state government has constructed a fully equipped new building for the Government Sandipani Higher Secondary School in Narsinghpur as part of the first phase of the initiative. The school provides a modern learning environment for students from KG-1 to Class 12, supporting their academic, intellectual, physical and overall development. Facilities include well-equipped digital classrooms, a computer laboratory, an advanced science laboratory, a comprehensive library, a multipurpose hall and an auditorium. Sports grounds and transport facilities have also been provided to encourage physical activities and ensure safe and convenient travel for students. The school has already demonstrated encouraging academic outcomes. In the 2025–26 academic session, meritorious student Mahi Sahu secured a place on the Class 12 merit list, bringing recognition to the school and the region.
