The Chief Minister said developing Champawat into a model district was a firm commitment of the state government. Development initiatives were being planned with a long-term vision, keeping in mind the needs and challenges of the next 25 to 50 years.

He emphasised that the real objective of development was to bring positive changes to people's lives and ensure better facilities for ordinary citizens.
