Jaipur, October 2026: Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas and Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma on Monday inspected the Cyber Crime Police Station at the Jaipur Police Commissionerate and reviewed the preparedness and ongoing measures to combat cybercrime.

Srinivas said the initial response in cyber fraud cases is extremely critical and directed officials to establish immediate coordination between the police, banking institutions and other concerned agencies as soon as a complaint is received.

He said action to secure the defrauded money should begin without delay and instructed officials to further strengthen technical capabilities and the quick-response system for preventing and investigating cybercrimes.

Review of Process from Complaint to Investigation

During his inspection of the Cyber Crime Police Station, the Chief Secretary took detailed information about the entire process, from receiving and registering complaints to filing FIRs, collecting and analysing digital evidence and monitoring the progress of investigations.

He also reviewed the technical resources available for cybercrime investigations and the capabilities of personnel handling such cases. He directed authorities to ensure the availability of necessary resources and further strengthen arrangements for regular training of police personnel.

During his visit to the Abhay Command Centre, Jaipur Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal briefed the Chief Secretary about the functioning of the 1930 and 112 call centres and the action being taken on complaints received through them.
