Jaipur, October 2026 : The Rajasthan government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, is making continuous efforts to strengthen good governance and ensure the speedy and quality resolution of public grievances.
As part of these efforts, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas inspected the call centre at the Government Secretariat on Saturday to review the functioning and progress of the Rajasthan Sampark Helpline-181.
Expressing satisfaction over the progress in grievance redressal and the improvement in complainants’ satisfaction levels, the Chief Secretary appreciated the helpline’s functioning. He said that sustained efforts by the state government had resulted in an increase in the satisfaction level of complainants regarding grievance redressal from 58 per cent in September 2025 to nearly 70 per cent in September 2026. This represents an increase of 12 percentage points.
The meeting was informed that the number of grievances received through the helpline had also increased significantly. While around 2.50 lakh grievances were received in September 2025, the number rose to approximately four lakh in September 2026.
Similarly, the number of grievances resolved also recorded a substantial increase. Around 2.48 lakh grievances were disposed of in October 2025, while the figure rose to approximately 4.50 lakh in September 2026.
Along with the faster disposal of grievances, the average time taken for resolution has also declined. In September last year, grievances took an average of 23 days to resolve. This has now come down to 13 days. The number of pending grievances has also decreased.
During the inspection, the Chief Secretary interacted directly with complainants under the e-Jan Sunwai initiative regarding grievances related to the Public Health Engineering, Agriculture, Power and Public Works departments. He sought details about their problems and the status of their resolution.
He spoke to Sampat from Jhunjhunu and Somaram from Nagaur regarding drinking water connections and the commissioning of borewells; Omprakash from Churu regarding a crop insurance claim; Kailash Meena and Mukesh from Dausa regarding the availability of fertilisers and seeds and pending subsidies for farm ponds; and Pappulal from Bhilwara and Bhairulal from Chittorgarh regarding the repair of electricity meters.
Similarly, he sought details of road-related problems from Rohtas of Kotputli-Behror and Bablesh of Baran.
During the video calls, the Chief Secretary directed the concerned officials to take prompt and necessary action in these cases and provide relief to the complainants.
He emphasised that grievance redressal should not remain merely a formal exercise. Instead, the authorities must ensure that every complainant receives a qualitative and satisfactory resolution to their problem.
