Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlights significance of Deepotsav in a post, says the festival is giving fresh momentum to the economy along with faith
Before 2017, such radiance was absent, with a complete lack of vision to transform the strength of faith into new livelihood opportunities
Chief Minister says double-engine govt has dispelled this darkness
Lucknow, November 2026 : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, ahead of his arrival in the city of Lord Shri Ram on Monday, highlighted the significance of Deepotsav in a post on social media platform 'X'. The Chief Minister wrote: "The grand Deepotsav of Shri Ayodhya Dham is giving fresh momentum to the economy along with faith. Every diya lit here is bringing new light to the hard work of a potter, the produce of a farmer and the livelihood of a family."
The Chief Minister further wrote: "This radiance was missing before 2017. No initiative had been taken to connect the immense cultural potential of Ram Nagari with the prosperity of local artisans, farmers and small traders. There was then a complete lack of vision to transform the strength of faith into new livelihood opportunities. The double-engine government has dispelled this darkness. Under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the grand Deepotsav, illuminated by lakhs of diyas, is today creating new opportunities for work and business for potters, workers and small traders. The very diya that illuminates Ram Nagari also kindles hopes of prosperity in the home of a hardworking family. Such is the spirit of our Deepotsav."
