Riyadh, Oct 2026 : The Embassy of India in Riyadh on Thursday issued an advisory to Indian nationals residing in Saudi Arabia, urging them to remain alert and vigilant amid recent attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in the Kingdom.
In its advisory, the Embassy asked Indian nationals to remain cautious, stay indoors whenever necessary and strictly follow instructions and safety advisories issued by Saudi authorities through official channels.
“In view of the current situation, all Indian nationals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are advised to remain alert and vigilant, stay indoors as necessary, and follow the instructions issued by local authorities through official channels,” the Embassy said.
The Embassy also strongly advised Indian nationals against circulating or reposting videos, photographs or news related to the ongoing developments. It urged the community to rely on official sources for information and avoid sharing unverified material.
The advisory comes after India strongly condemned attacks on Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, describing the targeting of civilian infrastructure as “completely unacceptable”.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) expressed condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
“India condemns the attacks over the past few days targeting Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which have resulted in civilian deaths and injuries. The targeting of civilian infrastructure is completely unacceptable,” the MEA said in a statement.

The MEA statement came after Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) reported that three civilians were killed and 36 others injured in attacks on the two airports on October 6 and 7.
According to the GACA, emergency response teams and relevant authorities responded immediately following the incidents in accordance with established emergency protocols and response plans.

The attack also injured 28 people, including Saudi citizens, a Bangladeshi resident and a Filipino resident. The injuries ranged from minor to critical, the GACA said.
