The Chief Minister congratulated all the newly appointed personnel and called upon them to discharge their responsibilities with a spirit of service, sensitivity and dedication.
The Chief Minister said that receiving an appointment letter is an important milestone in the lives of young people. Along with this, a new responsibility of public service also begins in their lives. He said newly appointed personnel should not view their government responsibilities merely as a job, but should make them a means of bringing positive change to the lives of people standing at the last end of society. The role of personnel associated with the AYUSH Department and the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme is directly connected with the health and lives of people.
The Chief Minister said that people reaching government health centres and hospitals for treatment from remote areas have a sense of trust in the system. The sensitivity, promptness and efficiency of personnel further strengthen this trust. He told the newly appointed personnel that wherever they serve, they should set an example through their working style. Every person reaching a hospital or health centre comes with hope, and the right decision and honest effort of personnel can bring a major change in the life of a needy person.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has taken effective steps to make the recruitment system in the state transparent and impartial. Along with strict action against the cheating mafia, a stringent anti-copying law has also been implemented. He said that today the youth of the state are getting opportunities in government services on the basis of their hard work and merit. More than 35,000 young people have received government jobs during the last five years. This reflects the government’s commitment to a transparent recruitment system in the state.
The Chief Minister said that along with being Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand is a state with a rich tradition of yoga, Ayurveda and medicinal herbs. The state government is continuously working towards developing Uttarakhand as a model ‘AYUSH State’ and a ‘Global Wellness Hub’. Along with expanding AYUSH services in all districts of the state, Panchakarma services are being modernised and Ayurveda Utkarsh Centres are being established.
He said that through e-Sanjeevani, people are being provided the facility of expert consultation while sitting at home. The ‘AYUSH Setu Portal’ is also an important initiative in this direction. Several homestays in the state have been linked with wellness services of nearby Ayurveda hospitals. The state government is making efforts to ensure that people visiting Uttarakhand get a better experience of health and mental peace through yoga, Ayurveda and Panchakarma.
The Chief Minister said that the health services under the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme are also being continuously expanded. Earlier, the ESI scheme was operational in six districts of the state, but it has now been extended to all 13 districts. The 100-bed ESI hospital in Rudrapur has already started functioning, while construction of a 300-bed ESI hospital is underway in Haridwar. Land has also been identified for an ESI hospital in Kashipur. Along with this, the recruitment process for 47 new medical officers is in its final stage to further strengthen health services.
The Chief Minister said that the state government’s goal is to provide better and accessible healthcare facilities to every person. Expressing the expectation that the newly appointed personnel would work with complete dedication, honesty and a spirit of service, he said the energy and capabilities of young people would play an important role in fulfilling the resolve to build a developed and empowered Uttarakhand.
AYUSH and AYUSH Education Minister Madan Kaushik congratulated the newly appointed personnel and said that the state government is continuously working towards further strengthening AYUSH services and making them more accessible to the public.
