The programme focuses on helping teachers recognise children with special needs and understand their educational requirements. It seeks to make teachers more aware of children’s diverse needs and strengthen their ability to provide appropriate support during the teaching and learning process.
Building a structured foundation for inclusive education
Inclusive education aims to ensure that every child receives opportunities to learn and progress, taking into account individual abilities and requirements.
Through Prashast 2.0, digital training is being used to help teachers identify children with special needs and understand the support required to meet their educational needs.
Teachers play a crucial role in this process because regular interaction with students and classroom activities can help them recognise individual learning requirements.
Technology and sensitivity for a better learning environment
Digital training provides an effective means of making educational information accessible to teachers. The learning materials available through Prashast 2.0 help them understand various aspects of inclusive education.
Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the state government is emphasising the use of technology in education alongside a sensitive approach towards children with diverse needs.
The broader objective is to develop a learning environment in which children with special needs also receive educational support suited to their individual requirements.
Sandeep Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Basic Education, said: “The Yogi government is committed to strengthening inclusive education. Through Prashast 2.0, the focus is on building teachers’ capabilities and ensuring support according to the educational needs of every child.”
