On this occasion, members of the delegation presented chunari, an idol of Maa Durga and a bouquet to the Chief Minister and welcomed him. They also made a humble request to the Chief Minister to participate in the Durga Puja festival.
Delegation expresses gratitude for administration’s cooperation
The members of the delegation jointly told Chief Minister Hemant Soren that under his leadership, the Durga Puja committees were not facing any kind of difficulty or problem. They said full cooperation was being received from the district administration.
The members of the Durga Puja committees expressed their gratitude to the state government, especially the Chief Minister, for this positive initiative. They said the cooperation being provided by the administration was giving complete satisfaction to the Puja committees and expressed the expectation that similar cooperation would continue in the coming years.
The delegation said administrative officials were repeatedly meeting the committees with complete sensitivity and resolving their problems well before the commencement of the Durga Puja festival. They expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for this cooperation.
Chief Minister invited to visit Puja pandals with family
During the meeting, members of the Durga Puja committees respectfully invited Chief Minister Hemant Soren to visit the various grand Puja pandals in Ranchi with his family during the upcoming Sharadiya Navratri and seek the blessings of Maa Durga and participate in the Maha Aarti.
The delegation informed the Chief Minister that this year, several grand and attractive Puja pandals were being constructed in the capital city of Ranchi, with extensive arrangements being made for the safety and convenience of devotees.
The Chief Minister gladly accepted the invitation extended by the Puja committee members and assured them that he would participate in the Durga Puja celebrations this year, visit various Puja pandals and seek the blessings of Maa Durga.
CM gives important suggestions to Durga Puja committees
Chief Minister Hemant Soren also gave several important suggestions to representatives of the Durga Puja committees.
He said it was a matter of great happiness that every year, with the arrival of the festive season, people were preparing for the Durga Puja festival with great devotion, dedication and enthusiasm. He prayed to Maa Durga that the tradition of celebrating the festival with enthusiasm should continue for a long and uninterrupted period.
The Chief Minister said that while preserving faith and tradition, it was also necessary to ensure that idol immersion was carried out in an environmentally friendly manner.
He said idol immersion had emerged as a challenge for the environment due to the condition of ponds and various water bodies in the city. In view of this, mutual coordination should be established between the state government and Durga Puja committees and an environment-friendly action plan for idol immersion should be prepared.
Soren suggested that Durga Puja committees should create an alternative arrangement for idol immersion, where idols could be immersed in an eco-friendly manner while respecting religious sentiments and traditions.
Hoardings for ‘drug-free awareness’ in Puja pandals
Chief Minister Hemant Soren asked representatives of Durga Puja committees to install hoardings promoting drug-free awareness at various Puja pandals during the Durga Puja festival.
He said the vision of building a drug-free Jharkhand could be achieved only through coordination between the state government and social and religious organisations.
He said it was necessary for everyone to fulfil their important responsibility in the anti-drug campaign and especially appeal to young people and youth not to become addicted to any form of drugs.
The Puja committee members assured the Chief Minister that hoardings promoting drug-free awareness would definitely be installed at the Puja pandals. They said special initiatives would also be undertaken to keep the youth of the state away from drugs and make them aware of their harmful effects.
CM extends greetings, directs officials to ensure security and smooth arrangements
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said Durga Puja is a major festival celebrating the worship of Shakti and the victory of truth over falsehood. The festival strengthens mutual brotherhood, happiness, prosperity and cultural unity in society.
The Chief Minister extended his greetings to the Puja committees for the successful organisation of the festival. He also issued clear administrative instructions that law and order should remain maintained across the state during the festival.
He directed that arrangements for electricity, water supply, cleanliness and traffic management should be kept smooth so that devotees visiting the Puja pandals, particularly women, children and elderly people, do not face any inconvenience.
