Year 2027 to be observed as Yuva Varsh

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that 2027 will be observed as the Yuva Varsh (Year of Youth), with two Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) examinations to be held during the year. He also announced 12 new medical colleges and 12 new universities offering employment-oriented, skill-based courses.

Addressing the CM Youth Conclave-2026 at Lal Parade Ground, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that one lakh youth would be covered under the state’s skill development programme. A dedicated portal for the Year of Youth 2027 will also be launched to invite ideas and suggestions from young people, with the government considering suitable proposals for implementation.

Free coaching for competitive examinations will be provided at government colleges in all districts. A dedicated agency will be engaged to strengthen campus placements and connect students with employment opportunities. Postgraduate female students will also be brought under the Gaon Ki Beti and Pratibha Kiran schemes.

All government colleges will have advanced Artificial Intelligence and computing laboratories. To promote research in higher education, the monthly financial assistance for research scholars will be increased from ₹16,000 to ₹25,000.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the conclave by lighting the ceremonial lamp. He also visited stalls featuring exhibits on mental health, Yog, career guidance, Indian knowledge traditions, skill development, AYUSH and innovation-led entrepreneurship.

Jubin Nautiyal, Kabir Café Perform at Youth Conclave

The conclave featured musical performances by youth icon singer Jubin Nautiyal and Music Band Kabir Café. Devotional performances, including “Meri Chaukhat Par Chal Kar Aaj Prabhu Shri Ram Aaye Hain,” “Shankar Sankat Harna” and “Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari,” energised the young audience. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav joined Jubin Nautiyal in showering flowers on students. He also interacted with AI robot ‘Buddy’, shook hands with it and walked alongside it. The Chief Minister launched registration for the Madhya Pradesh Seva First Innovation Challenge under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026. A short film on Madhya Pradesh’s industries and Viksit Bharat@2047 was screened, along with a rock-style video presentation titled “Dr. Mohan Yadav Ke Sang–Badlav Ke Rang.”

₹5 Crore Idea Fund to Promote Youth Start-ups

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that a ₹5 crore state-level Idea Fund would be established to encourage innovative start-up ideas by young people. Research will also be promoted at the university level. As many as 500 new National Service Scheme units will be established in the state, while hostels for working women will be constructed in every division.

Chief MinisterDr. Yadav said the Global Investors Summit would again be organised in 2027 under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, creating new employment opportunities for youth across the state. He said Madhya Pradesh athletes had won five gold medals at the Asian Games-2026, adding that India is the world’s youngest major nation and that its progress would be driven by its youth. He said Madhya Pradesh was also among the youngest states and had one of the country’s lowest unemployment rates.

MP Advancing Rapidly in Technology, Innovation and Emerging Sectors

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh had moved beyond its earlier identity as primarily an agriculture-based state and was now advancing rapidly in industry, technology, innovation, medical education and IT. The state government has provided jobs to 85,000 youth in various government departments over the past two and a half years. He said Knowledge Cities and Science Cities were taking shape, while IT Parks were being developed in Indore, Rewa and Ujjain.

A major Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) is also being developed in Gwalior. “Our aim is not merely to make our youth job seekers but job creators,” he said, urging young people to seize the opportunities emerging in technology and innovation.

CM Dr. Yadav Interacts with Youth as an Elder Brother

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with students in an informal manner, walking among them on the ramp and engaging directly with young participants. He invited students to the stage and discussed their dreams, aspirations and expectations from the state government. Responding to students’ questions, the Chief Minister outlined the government’s efforts in agriculture, Artificial Intelligence and start-ups, sports, Indian traditions, infrastructure and combating drug abuse.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said on agriculture that 2026 had been dedicated to farmers’ welfare and that the government was developing value chains in food processing . He said nearly 14 lakh farmers had supplied around 104 lakh metric tonnes of wheat to the government this year, the highest in the country. Farmers would now receive 10 hours of electricity during the daytime, while contract farming and dairy production were also being promoted.

On Artificial Intelligence and start-ups, he said an AI and Knowledge City was being developed in Bhopal, while work on a Science City was underway in Ujjain. Semiconductor development and innovation were also being promoted, with grants of up to ₹5 lakh available for youth start-ups.

On sports, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a world-class sports complex had been developed in Bhopal and that Madhya Pradesh athletes training there had won 11 medals at the Asian Games, including five gold medals. Sports has also been introduced as a course in higher education, with sports coaches appointed in colleges. Sports stadiums are being developed across all 230 Assembly constituencies. He said Madhya Pradesh athletes were making their mark not only in wrestling, kabaddi, hockey and cricket, but also in archery and shooting. He said,“Sports will receive the highest priority during the Year of Youth.”

AI to be used for Crowd Management during Simhastha 2028

Responding to a question on staying connected with Indian and Sanatan traditions in the age of social media, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted the state’s cultural and spiritual heritage. He said around 30 crore devotees are expected to visit Ujjain during Simhastha 2028 and that Artificial Intelligence would be used for crowd management. The Chief Minister said Mahakal laddoos were now available through card-based payment and that pilgrimage was generating employment opportunities along with spiritual experiences. He added that around 12 crore devotees are expected to visit Ujjain next year,

On infrastructure development, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the state was expanding air connectivity. New airports have become operational in Satna, Rewa and Datia during the past two and a half years. The government plans to develop an airport every 150 kilometres, with a target of 15 airports in the coming years and efforts to complete 10 this year. Helicopter services and new technologies are also being promoted, including hydrogen-powered trains.

Strict Action to Make Madhya Pradesh Drug-Free by 2029

Responding to a question on preventing drug abuse among youth, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the state government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was committed to making Madhya Pradesh drug-free by 2029. He said Union Home Minister Amit Shah had recently reviewed the campaign with the state government. Emphasising the devastating impact of drug abuse on families and society, Dr. Yadav said strict action would be taken to protect the younger generation from drugs.

MP Successfully Implementing National Education Policy-2020

Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar said Madhya Pradesh had successfully implemented the National Education Policy-2020 through the sustained efforts of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He said the CM Youth Conclave brought together educational institutions, traders, industrialists, students and academicians to contribute to nation-building. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, he said the youth would play a decisive role in making India a leading global power.
