Balrampur, October 2026 : Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the Maa Pateshwari Temple, a Shakti Peeth in Tulsipur, on the first day of Sharadiya Navratri. He bowed before the Goddess, performed her aarti and prayed for a healthy and prosperous Uttar Pradesh.

After offering prayers at the temple on Sunday morning, the Chief Minister greeted devotees visiting the shrine. He also inspected the arrangements on the temple premises and directed officials to ensure adequate security, facilities and cleanliness for devotees during Navratri and Dussehra.

The Chief Minister said, "Devotees from different parts of the country and the state visit the temple during Navratri to offer their prayers to the Goddess."

He directed the administration, police and those responsible for temple management to pay special attention to their safety, convenience and cleanliness. He emphasised that no inconvenience or mismanagement should be allowed on the temple premises.

The Chief Minister also visited the cowshed, where he served the cows by feeding them jaggery and green fodder. He interacted with local residents, public representatives and saints during the visit. Mahant Mithilesh Nath Yogi was also present on the occasion.

CM Yogi had arrived in Balrampur on Saturday to attend a programme for the inauguration and foundation-laying of development projects. He spent the night at the Devipatan Temple complex.
