Mumbai, October 2026 : The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, issuing fresh threats against people associated with actor Salman Khan.
In a social media post, an individual identifying himself as Anil Pandit, along with Harman Sandhu, claimed responsibility for the incident and alleged that Shroff had ignored their earlier warning. The authenticity of the post and the claims made in it remain to be established by investigators.
“Jai Mahakal… Jai Shri Ram,” the post began, before claiming that the group had attempted to contact and warn Shroff but resorted to the attack after he allegedly failed to respond.
The message further threatened members of the Mumbai film industry who work with Salman Khan or disregard the group’s demands.
“Anyone in the Mumbai film industry who does not listen to us or works with Salman Khan will be next. Wait and watch,” the post stated.
It also warned rival groups against allegedly using the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s name to gain publicity, threatening violence against those it accused of doing so.
In a separate audio message shared by the Mumbai Crime Branch, a man identified as Anil Pandit allegedly addressed Salman Khan directly, demanding that the actor apologise to Lawrence Bishnoi and the Bishnoi community.
The audio contained threats against Khan and his family, warning that security arrangements would not necessarily protect him from an attack. The threats are expected to form part of the ongoing investigation into the firing incident and the wider security concerns surrounding the actor.
Three Men Open Fire at Shroff’s Car
The incident occurred on Sunday evening when three motorcycle-borne men allegedly opened fire at Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu neighbourhood.
The actor escaped without injuries, while his driver reportedly sustained injuries. Details about the driver’s condition and the circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been fully disclosed.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed the Mumbai Police Commissioner to investigate the incident immediately and take strict action against those responsible.
Police are examining the circumstances of the attack, including the alleged gang’s claim of responsibility, and are working to identify and apprehend the suspects. The motive behind the firing remains under investigation.
Previous Attack Outside Salman Khan’s Residence
The latest incident has renewed concerns about threats against prominent Bollywood personalities, particularly Salman Khan, who has faced repeated threats allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
On April 14, 2024, two men riding a motorcycle opened fire outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area. The incident triggered a major investigation and heightened security around the actor.
The latest threats have intensified scrutiny of security arrangements for film industry personalities and those associated with Khan.
Investigators are expected to examine the social media posts and audio message as part of their inquiry. Authorities have yet to independently confirm the gang’s involvement in the attack on Shroff.
The police investigation is continuing, with further details about the suspects, the motive and the injured driver awaited.
