*CM Questions Punjab’s Law and Order Situation, Says People Will Show AAP the Door*
Chandigarh, October 2026 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party, questioning Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ pitch against the Congress’s record and asking Arvind Kejriwal to substantiate his education claims. He said, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi is working to fulfil the aspirations of 140 crore Indians and empower the poor, yet the Congress continued to oppose his welfare initiatives.
Speaking to media persons at Haryana Niwas, the Chief Minister said the Prime Minister had taken LPG cylinders to poor households through the Ujjwala scheme and provided the poor with access to medical treatment. The Congress, he said, must explain why it opposed measures taken in their interest.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the Prime Minister is working to make India the world’s leading nation and strengthen farmers by transferring Rs. 6,000 into their accounts. Despite these efforts, the Congress continued to make remarks against him, he added.
Taking exception to Congress President Sh. Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement, the Chief Minister described the Congress’s remarks concerning the Prime Minister’s family as deeply unfortunate and said the people would not forgive the party.
*Rahul Gandhi Must Answer for Congress’s Record Behind ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ Pitch*
Questioning Sh. Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ slogan, the Chief Minister said that the Congress leader’s message of love concealed a divisive approach. He said people across Haryana and the country were aware of the party’s record.
He asked whether the 1984 riots would also find a place in Sh. Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’. He also referred to incidents in which homes, shops and Dalit settlements were burnt during Congress rule in Haryana, asking whether these, too, would be put on display. Sh. Rahul Gandhi should explain to the country whether this was what his ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ represented, he said.
The Chief Minister said that during Congress rule, terrorists would cross over from Pakistan, kill people and leave without an effective response. In contrast, he said, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi had acted to curb terrorism. He asked whether Sh. Rahul Gandhi would also make room in his ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ for the events of that period.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the Congress had repeatedly questioned the Election Commission and electronic voting machines. The party should also explain its performance in recent elections conducted using ballot papers, he said, adding that people now understood its allegations and statements.
Referring to riots and the law and order situation during the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh, he asked whether Sh. Akhilesh Yadav would join Sh. Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ and answer for those incidents. Congress and INDI alliance leaders should tell the country what their ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ stood for, he added.
*Kejriwal Must Release Details to Back His Claims- CM*
Taking a dig at AAP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister said he had claimed that the school system developed during his tenure enabled children to become doctors and engineers.
If that was the case, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal should release a list showing how many students became doctors and how many became engineers during his tenure, he said.
The Chief Minister said tall claims and falsehoods were no substitute for work, and attempts should not be made to mislead the country. Sh. Kejriwal should place details of his work and the basis of his claims before the public, he added. He said AAP had no issues left to raise and that the people of Punjab were preparing to show it the door.
*CM Questions Punjab’s Law and Order Situation*
Responding to a question about a demand for early elections in Punjab, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the state’s law and order situation had become serious. The people of Punjab wanted change and wished to see their state strengthened, he added.
Taking a swipe at the Punjab government, he said people’s stomachs could not be filled by telling jokes for five years. Referring to promises to eradicate the drug menace, he said the people were now demanding an account of those claims as elections approached.
The Chief Minister said that there is widespread anger against AAP and said the people of Punjab were also dissatisfied with the Congress. Sh. Rahul Gandhi was talking about opening a ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ in Punjab, but people knew what it represented, he said.
The Chief Minister said the INDI alliance had earlier promised employment to every household. Sh. Rahul Gandhi should now disclose how many people had been given jobs, he added. Making promises is not enough; the public is entitled to an account of their fulfilment, he said.
The Chief Minister also questioned the Congress over illegal mining in Punjab. Responding to former Chief Minister Sh. Charanjit Singh Channi’s remarks on the issue, he said Sh. Channi should remember the situation concerning mining during his own tenure.
The people of Punjab had seen the functioning of both the Congress and AAP, he said, adding that both parties must explain why such conditions prevailed in the state.
*Gujarat Visit Draws Investment Interest in Haryana; Industries Invited to Invest*
Referring to his Gujarat visit, the Chief Minister said Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi had built Gujarat into a strong state that showed the way to others.
He said industries had been invited to invest in Haryana during the visit. Industries had expressed interest in investments worth approximately Rs. 50,000 crore in the state, and memoranda of understanding had been signed, he added.
Welcoming the interest shown by Gujarat-based industries, the Chief Minister said the government had urged industrialists to invest in Haryana.
