Children from four districts of Devipatan Division send gratitude letters to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
Some decorated their letters with flowers, while others drew the Chief Minister’s portrait

Lucknow, September 2026 : Some children decorated their letters with flowers; some drew pictures of their new study tables. Others sketched the message ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ alongside a picture of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The study tables received by one lakh children in Devipatan Division are now creating a small, dedicated corner for studies in their homes.
Happy with this initiative, the children have written handwritten letters to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to thank him. Beyond the figures of the government scheme, these innocent letters reflect the joy that has entered the children’s lives after they received their own study tables for studying at home.
Swati, who received a study table, expressed her happiness in a letter sent to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. She wrote that she had been given a study table and study materials, for which she was sincerely thankful.
Swati said she studies at the study table every day and uses the materials provided. Along with decorating her letter with flowers, she also drew pictures of a study table, a book and a pencil at the bottom.
The letter by Class 6 student Saba describes the changes the study table brought to her daily studies. Thanking the Chief Minister, Saba wrote that earlier she faced a lot of inconvenience while studying at home. Now, receiving a study table has made studying easier. In her innocent words, she wrote that her back no longer hurts. Along with the letter, Saba also drew a picture of the study table and wrote the message ‘Sab Padhein-Sab Badhein’.
Nuzhat Fatima, a Class 7 student, prepared a ‘Gratitude Letter’ for the Chief Minister on blue chart paper. Nuzhat wrote that receiving a study table gave her a good environment for studying. It increased her interest in studies, and she could now study with greater concentration than before.
She also wrote that she uses the study table to complete her homework and revise lessons. In the letter, she expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister by drawing a picture of a girl studying with coloured pencils.
The children’s letters of gratitude are not limited to words. Many students have prepared posters with complete creativity. One child drew a large picture of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and wrote ‘Beti Bachao’ and ‘Beti Padhao’ on either side. At the bottom, the child drew a girl receiving a study table.
Another poster showed a girl being handed a table at the school gate and carried the message, ‘Beti Padhegi, Aage Badhegi, Uttar Pradesh Ka Naam Badhayegi.’ One child wrote ‘Thank You’ in large letters and depicted the Chief Minister, a girl student and a study table together.
Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal said that under the ‘Shiksha Ki Udaan’ study table distribution campaign, a target had been set to distribute one lakh tables across the four districts of Devipatan Division, which has been achieved 100 percent. The campaign aims to develop a culture of disciplined study at home while encouraging academic excellence in government schools. By providing study tables to meritorious students, the initiative aims to create space for continuous, focused study outside the classroom.
She said children from rural backgrounds were provided study tables, which have now become their personal study spaces.
According to Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal, the highest number of tables, 34,260, were provided in Bahraich under the campaign. This was followed by 27,650 in Gonda, 26,984 in Balrampur and 11,106 study tables in Shravasti. In this way, the division achieved the prescribed target of one lakh tables.
She said that under the ‘Shiksha Ki Udaan’ campaign, arrangements were made to provide study tables to the best-performing students of government schools. Along with this, all girl students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas have also been included among the beneficiaries. The campaign is designed as a continuous initiative so top-performing students can be encouraged in the future as well.
