Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday conducted an on-site inspection of the preparations for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s proposed programme at Parade Ground in Dehradun.
During the visit, the Chief Minister reviewed various arrangements being made at the venue and directed the concerned officials to complete all preparations within the stipulated timeline.
Dhami took stock of arrangements related to the stage, seating, security, traffic management, parking, drinking water, cleanliness and other essential facilities. He instructed officials to ensure that all arrangements were properly organised, with special attention to the convenience of people attending the programme.
The Chief Minister said all departments concerned should work in close coordination to ensure the successful conduct of the event. He stressed the need for an effective security and traffic management plan so that the general public did not face unnecessary inconvenience during the programme.
He also directed officials to ensure proper entry and exit arrangements at the venue and maintain orderly parking facilities.
Reviewing the progress of preparations, Dhami said all necessary arrangements should be completed ahead of the scheduled deadline. He stressed that responsibilities of officials involved in the event must be clearly defined and that arrangements should be regularly reviewed at every level.
The Chief Minister said there should be no negligence at any stage in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
Rajya Sabha MP and Uttarakhand BJP President Mahendra Bhatt, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, along with other senior state government and district administration officials, were present during the inspection.
