Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launches application process on the MahaDBT 2.0 platform
Fishers, fish farmers and fisheries entrepreneurs can apply from home
The process will become simpler, more transparent and faster
Mumbai, October 2026: To make it easier for fishers, fish farmers, fisheries entrepreneurs and fishing organisations across Maharashtra to benefit from various government schemes, an online application facility has been launched for 24 beneficiary-oriented schemes of the Fisheries Department.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the online application process under the Chief Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana on the MahaDBT 2.0 platform at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai. Fisheries and Ports Minister Nitesh Rane was present on the occasion.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the state government is implementing the Chief Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana effectively. Various reforms are being introduced under Government Process Re-engineering (GPR) to make the implementation of these schemes simpler, more transparent and faster. The online application facility on the MahaDBT 2.0 platform is part of this initiative.
Online Applications from Home
With this facility, fishers, fish farmers, fisheries entrepreneurs and fishing organisations across the state can apply for the relevant schemes online from the comfort of their homes.
The process will reduce unnecessary requests for documents and minimise the need to submit paperwork physically. Essential information can be obtained through available government databases, while various certificates can also be made available online.
Subsidies to Be Transferred Directly to Beneficiaries’ Accounts
The online process is expected to enhance transparency in the implementation of government schemes. It will also facilitate the direct transfer of subsidies to beneficiaries’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
Simplified applications, fewer documents and faster processing will enable beneficiaries in the fisheries sector to access government schemes more effectively.
Digital Services to Boost the Fisheries Sector
The state government’s initiative is expected to improve the efficiency of the Fisheries Department’s schemes. Its primary objectives are to provide accessible services through digital technology, make administrative procedures more transparent and ensure that scheme benefits reach eligible beneficiaries effectively.
