Greater Noida, September 2026 : The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026, which provided a global platform to Uttar Pradesh’s art, entrepreneurship, skills and business potential, concluded grandly on Tuesday with new dimensions of investment, business and international participation. The five-day mega event, held from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, provided a strong platform for the products of Uttar Pradesh, MSMEs, exporters, artisans and entrepreneurs to connect directly with buyers from across the country and abroad.

During the event, 4,400 MoUs worth approximately USD 680 million, equivalent to around ₹6,500 crore, were signed. In addition, based on business enquiries received during the Trade Show, projected business transactions worth approximately ₹15,500 crore are estimated. These figures reflect the growing expansion of investment, exports and business activities in the state.

According to official figures released by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), a total of 41,500 B2B meetings were recorded at UPITS this year. Of these, 13,500 meetings were held in the Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM) segment, while approximately 28,000 business interactions were recorded in the main exhibition area.
Through these meetings, buyers from India and abroad directly interacted with entrepreneurs, manufacturers and exporters from Uttar Pradesh, advancing towards business partnerships and potential orders. A total of 5,98,693 visitors and business buyers attended the Trade Show over five days. These included 1,74,990 domestic business buyers and 4,23,703 general visitors.

Organised in line with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UPITS 2026 recorded significant growth across almost all major business and participation parameters compared to the previous edition.

Compared to 31,650 B2B meetings recorded in 2025, the number increased to 41,500 this year, registering a growth of 31.12 percent. Meetings with foreign buyers in the RBSM segment recorded a remarkable increase of 123.1 percent, rising from 6,050 to 13,500. The main exhibition area also recorded a 9.38 percent increase in B2B meetings.
The number of signed MoUs increased from 3,900 to 4,400, registering a growth of 12.82 percent. The estimated value of MoUs recorded the highest increase. It rose from ₹2,680 crore (USD 425 million) to ₹6,500 crore (USD 680 million), reflecting a growth of 142.54 percent. Business enquiries also registered a growth of 24 percent, with projected business transactions increasing from ₹12,500 crore to ₹15,500 crore.

The international outreach of UPITS 2026 was also far more extensive than in previous editions. While Russia was the sole partner country in the previous edition, this year six countries, namely Russia, Austria, Japan, Singapore, Belarus and Vietnam, participated as partner countries. Foreign delegations and buyers showed particular interest in various sectors of the state, including manufacturing, IT, electronics, textiles and agro-food processing. This provided entrepreneurs from Uttar Pradesh an opportunity to understand the requirements of global markets and engage directly with potential partners.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s ambitious ‘One District, One Cuisine’ (ODOC) initiative was among the major attractions of UPITS 2026. By presenting the distinctive culinary traditions and local flavours of all 75 districts of the state on a single platform, ODOC connected Uttar Pradesh’s cultural diversity with business opportunities.

The ODOC Hall witnessed special enthusiasm throughout all five days. Visitors and buyers gained close exposure to regional cuisines, traditional recipes and local food enterprises. Masterclasses conducted by celebrity chef Harpal Singh Sokhi and other renowned chefs added a special attraction to the event. This blend of culinary expertise, live demonstrations and entertainment made ODOC highly popular among visitors.

ODOC also highlighted that the culinary heritage of a district is not limited to cultural identity alone, but can also serve as a foundation for new employment and business opportunities in sectors such as food entrepreneurship, food processing, packaging, hospitality, tourism, branding and retail.

UPITS provided extensive market access to the traditional crafts, handloom products, brassware, carpets, leather industry products and distinctive agricultural products of all 75 districts of the state. MSMEs, local artisans and entrepreneurs received an opportunity to directly engage with buyers from India and abroad and secure potential orders. As a result, UPITS further strengthened its role beyond being merely an exhibition and emerged as a platform for business networking, market expansion and the creation of real business opportunities. Nearly 20 knowledge sessions involving policy and industry stakeholders also provided entrepreneurs with opportunities for expert interaction on evolving business scenarios, market prospects and policy-related subjects.

While UPITS 2026 remained vibrant throughout the day with discussions on business and investment, every evening it was also immersed in the colours of Uttar Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage. During the five-day event, a diverse series of classical, folk, devotional and contemporary performances introduced visitors from India and abroad to the cultural diversity of the state. Folk music, Kathak, folk dances of Mathura, Dhethiya, Rai and Tharu tribal dances, Pakhawaj and Sitar recitals, light music, Alha singing, bhajans and Sufi music, along with performances by celebrity artists and musical bands, added cultural grandeur to the event.

On the concluding day, bhajan renditions by Om Prakash Dubey, folk song performances by Rakesh Upadhyay of Gorakhpur and a Kathak presentation by Ms. Mitali Saini of Ghaziabad captivated the audience. This was followed by ‘Colours of India’, choreographed by Shriram Sankhla, which provided a memorable conclusion to the five-day cultural journey.

Student and youth participation also remained an important component of UPITS 2026. Young participants actively took part in quizzes, Model United Nations (MUN), mime performances, art and culture activities, cyber security and road safety awareness programmes, and the Battle of Bands. Participation from schools across Delhi-NCR infused new energy into the event. Students received an opportunity to gain exposure to industry, innovation, creativity and the practical business environment.

The conclusion of the fourth edition of UPITS 2026 was not limited to achievements in numbers and footfall alone, but also presented a comprehensive picture of Uttar Pradesh’s evolving business identity. The event brought together government policies, investment, entrepreneurship, exports, international sourcing, technology, traditional crafts, cuisine and culture on a single platform. The five-day business and cultural journey, which commenced on September 25, remained continuously dynamic until its conclusion on September 29. With MoUs worth ₹6,500 crore, projected business transactions of ₹15,500 crore, 41,500 B2B meetings and a footfall of nearly 5.99 lakh, UPITS 2026 further strengthened its identity as a powerful platform for connecting the products and talents of Uttar Pradesh with global markets.
